This is how to get to Crook by road and rail.

 

By rail coming from the North or South:


The east cost mainline runs into Durham from both directions. From Durham you can catch the bus from Durham bus station (The number 46)

 

By road coming from the north:

 

Come down either the A167 or the A1(M) and turn off onto the A690 directed to Durham or Crook continue on this road until you reach Crook.

 

By road coming from the west:

 

From Alston take the A689 which takes you through Stanhope and Wolsingham and turns into the A690 and runs into Crook.

 

From the M6 take either the A685 (coming from the South) which then leads onto the A66 or if coming from the North come off directly onto the A66. At the Bowes junction turn off onto the A67 which goes into Barnard Castle. Then take the A688 into Bishop Auckland and from there Crook is signposted up the A689.

 

By road coming from the south:

 

From the South come up the A167 or the A1(M) and thake the turn off for the A689 signposted Bishop Auckland. Follow the road through Bishop Auckland and up to Crook.
